Some buildings arrive with their history already written. The Heinz Residences occupy three administrative buildings on the original Heinz compound in Pittsburgh: one from the early 1900s, two designed by SOM with interiors by Florence Knoll in the 1950s. Our work began with respect, extracting the details that made these buildings matter and shaping a design language that belongs to the same family. Clean lines, honest materials, and a clear mid-century thread carry 165 new homes into architecture that never needed improving, only continuing.
