South Slope was never trying to be Park Slope, and 259 22nd Street belongs to its own streets instead. Brass runs along the lobby floors and walls, understated enough that most residents will feel it before they notice it's there. Corridors are carpeted on purpose, softening the walk from the shared hallway into someone's actual home. The same hand carries all 39 units, unhurried from arrival to the last room.
